FAQ’s
Anode sizing is based on flow rate NOT line size. Often the incoming line size is oversized for demand, correct sizing can reduce the required size. For help sizing you unit fill in the sizing form or contact Aquabion UK.
Many water conditioners available in the UK are based on temporary effects which are produced externally to the pipework. These rely on either magnetic or electrical induction fields. Aquabion is a permanent electrolytic water treatment which treats water using a naturally occurring galvanic reaction.
No. You will need filtration for this.
Just the problem of limescale. Nothing is physically removed. There is just a crystalline modification to the lime crystals which massively reduces the limescale problem your customers have.
No – Aquabion uses patented self-cleaning device which creates lots of turbulence. The only movement within the device is the controlled water flow.
We recommend changing the Aquabion every 7 years. It will normally last longer than this but to ensure continued protection most commercial customers change their units every 7 years.
All units are identical in every way other than size. This enables us to offer the widest range from 8mm to 250mm+. It also enables us to use ‘domestic units’ in certain commercial environments as domestic units are always commercial grade.
Both. Aquabion stops the damage in retrofit instances.
Never, the unit is self-cleaning. You just need to change the unit every 7 years. The old unit is sent off for reconditioning so there is normally a discount for the replacement unit.
No, Aquabion doesn’t protect any products that use steam.
No, the Aquabion is engineering to be installed by any qualified plumbing engineer.
All devices placed in pipe systems have an effect on the pressure. The Aquabion system produces an insignificant pressure drop. Details for each unit are available.
From 8mm to 50mm Aquabion are available as a threaded BSP fitting. From 50mm to 150mm+ Aquabion are available with a rotating flange fitting.
