wHAT IS LIMESCALE?
Limescale is a hard chalky deposit, which consists mainly of calcium carbonate. Limescale often builds up inside kettles, hot water boilers, and pipework, especially those for hot water. Limescale can also be found in pipes and on surfaces in a more solid (stuck) form, where the hard water once sat and has now evaporated.
